Method for adjustment of patient support device of therapeutic treatment device in region of therapeutic irradiation device for emitting e.g. ion beam to treat patient, involves adjusting support device based on position and/or layer
The method involves determining a position and/or a layer of a predetermined object i.e. tumor (12), with respect to a therapeutic irradiation device (14) according to predetermined criterion by a two-dimensional (2D)-X-ray image data set, which is obtained with an X-ray image receiving device (22) that is provided in a region of the therapeutic irradiation device. A patient support device (28) is adjusted, moved, tilted or rotated based on the determined position and/or the layer. Adjustment in the relative position is determined with respect to a reference point in the predetermined object. An independent claim is also included for a therapeutic treatment device.
