The collecting box (1) is made of two base forms that resemble half shell-shaped box portions (2,3) which are produced from manufacturing equipment. A connection is formed on the box portion in form of a separate, particularly rotationally symmetrical molded connection piece. An independent claim is also included for a heat exchanger with a front side.
