The refrigerator (1) has an inner container (3) provided with inner wall (17a,17b) that limits a cooling space (4a,4b). A holding device has a holding section that is connected with the inner container and another holding section that is connected with a shelf base (8a,8b). The former holding section has two grooves arranged side by side at the same height. Each groove has locking positions bays, which are arranged one above another. The locking positions bays are connected with each other by a groove channel. The latter holding section has holding projections for engaging in the grooves.
