The product has a laminar substrate i.e. plastic material e.g. PVC foil, printed with printing ink i.e. solvent-reduced printing ink, and attached with a transparent laminate coating on one side or both sides by a hot-melt adhesive. A laminate is coated with the coating by a hot laminator under increased pressure at a temperature of 105-130 degree Celsius. The temperature depends on thickness of the substrate. The coating is protruded over an edge of the substrate with width of 3 mm. A polyester layer is present on a side of the product turned towards a food. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a product.
