The motor vehicle (1) has a telephone controller controlling a mobile telephone via a Bluetooth-type communication link. A near field communication (NFC) type-interface creates a NFC-type-communication link to another NFC type-interface of the mobile telephone. A display (4) displays variable information for operating functions of the motor vehicle. The former NFC type-interface is arranged beside or below the display. A combination instrument (3) is arranged in front of a steering wheel (2) over a centre console of the motor vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a motor vehicle.
