The internal combustion engine (10) has an engine block (12), a cylinder head (16) connected with the engine block and an alignment pin (32) for accurately fitting alignment of the cylinder head to the engine block. The cylinder head has an oil supplying channel (22) for supplying oil from an oil pan in the cylinder head. The oil supplying channel communicates with an oil channel (20) of the engine block.
