摘要

The method involves measuring fault current of a faulty conductor at a location of an over current protection device and comparing the measured current with a current threshold value. An electrical power supply network is disconnected from the protection device, if the measured current is greater than the threshold value. A predetermined range of error detection is determined by determination of a point on an origin of an impedance plane. Distance between a midpoint of the fault current and the point is computed, and the current threshold value is adjusted in accordance with a formula.
