Device, particularly crash structure or impact structure, for use with adjustable stiffness for receiving impact energy, has chamber formed to cause hydraulic pressure for supporting die against radial force of deformation elements
The device (100) has a die (140) for retaining and deforming a deformation element (110). The die is arranged within a housing (120) in a disengaged manner. A chamber is filled with a hydraulic liquid and arranged within the housing. The chamber is provided with variable volume. The chamber is formed to cause hydraulic pressure for supporting the die against the radial force of deformation elements and to cause another hydraulic pressure for releasing the die for movement by radial force. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a system for receiving an impact energy; (2) a method for adjusting stiffness of a receiving device; (3) a control device for the execution of an adjusting method; and (4) a computer program product with program code for the execution of an adjusting method.
