Method for processing value documents i.e. banknotes, involves creating raw digital image, where volume of preview image data of value document is smaller than volume of raw image data of value document
The method involves creating a raw digital image with rate of a value document by a sensor unit (26), where respective raw image exists from raw image data. A reduced digital preview image is created based on the digital raw image of the respective value document created by the sensing unit, where respective preview image exists from preview image data. The volume of the preview image data of the value document is smaller than the volume of the raw image data of the value document. A control and evaluating device (30) is stored in a ring buffer memory. An independent claim is also included for a device for processing value documents.
