The device has a winding shaft (36) rotatably supported in a housing (24) that comprises a discharge slot (30) for a separation roller blind (28). The roller blind is connected with the winding shaft and a stretchable tarpaulin bow (34). The housing adjusts spring units between an expanded releasing position and a retention position for forming extension limiting units. A discharge slot gap is increased when the spring units are in the expanded releasing position and the discharge slot gap is reduced when the spring units are in the retention position.
