The lens element (14) has a lens main structure comprising a diffraction microstructure (20) that diffracts the light emitted from light sources e.g. LEDs (11,18) such that depth of the diffraction microstructure has preset relationship with respect to wavelength of the emitted light. A diaphragm assembly (15) is arranged vertical to an optical axis (13) of lens main structure. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) light module; and (2) motor vehicle headlight.
