Device for examination of skin lesions i.e. melanomas, in humans, has light source arranged in housing and emitting focused light beam in direction of skin lesion, and camera detecting light reflections of skin lesion
The device (10) has a transparent housing (11) provided along a direction of a skin area to be examined. A camera and an illumination device are provided in the housing. An additional light source (19) is arranged in the housing, and emits a focused light beam in a direction of skin lesion. A camera (17) detects light reflections of the skin lesion. The housing is opened in the skin area and directly placed on skin. The housing has surfaces (16) partially reflective at end regions pointed to the skin area. An illumination device (18) is covered with a diffusion disk. An independent claim is also included for a method for examination of skin lesions in humans.
