Method for providing digital transaction watermark for production of individually marked copies of data such as image data, involves defining a set of transaction watermarks with same length by same number of locations
A set of transaction watermarks with same length is defined by same number of locations, and each location occupied with a symbol is selected. The selection process is carried out such that the symbols of each transaction watermark of selected set of symbols differ with respect to the number of symbol positions of each other transaction watermark of the set lying between predetermined minimum and maximum numbers. The maximum number is a natural number and the minimum number is a natural number which is greater than half the maximum number but smaller than the latter. An independent claim is included for method of determining transaction with intentionally embedded watermark.
