The device has a cable plug connector (110) releasably connected with a plug-in connection of a proximity switch, where the cable plug connector comprises a screening unit (28a). Multiple electronic/electrical components (28) e.g. surface mount components (SMD) components and coils, are arranged on a circuit board (27), where the circuit board is provided with a coating. The plug connector is provided with a contact carrier (7). A plug terminal is connected at a posterior end of a screw thread pipe.
