The device (10) has a detection unit (12) for detecting climatic data, and an air-conditioning device (20) for influencing climate in a building room. A controller (11) controls the air-conditioning device based on the detected climatic data and is connected with another detection unit (23) for detecting animal and/or plant data to monitor development and/or feeding of an animal and/or a plant. The controller has an interface (27) e.g. universal serial bus (USB)interface, for centrally accessing the controller and/or the data for different types of users e.g. veterinary surgeons.
