The device has a base body enclosing a cavity (15) provided for receiving an outer contour of a hollow organ i.e. thin walled hollow organ, of an animal e.g. pig. An inlet (20) introduces an endoscope into the hollow organ, and comprises a coupling device for coupling the hollow organ. The base body is formed of two plastic molded parts (10a), where the molded parts are assembled along a boundary line (11) for formation of the cavity. The boundary line extends in a planar manner. The molded parts are made from polypropylene i.e. expanded polypropylene.
