The invention relates to a braking device of a vehicle comprising an eddy current brake discs (122) with a rotationally fixed stator (124) and a rotating rotor (59), wherein the rotor (59) or the stator (124) an eddy current path (126) and the stator (124), or the rotor (59) carries a magnet arrangement (128), the magnetic field lines in the case of relative movement of the rotor (59) with respect to the stator (124) in the eddy current path (126) for generating a braking moment induce eddy currents, as well as a friction disks brake (2) with at least one brake disc (59) and with this brake disc (59), acting together brake linings (58), for the generation of a brake torque of the friction between the brake disc (59) and the brake linings (58).The invention provides that the rotor (59) of the eddy current brake discs (122) by means of the brake disc (59) of the friction disks brake (2) is formed.
