Magnetic resonance equipment for medical imaging/spectroscopic application, has assigned energy converter unit converting radiation energy into electrical operation energy, and energy storage portion storing electrical operation energy
The equipment (10) has a measuring volume (16) in which a measuring object (24) i.e. patient, to be examined is positioned in a homogeneous magnetic field. A magnetic resonance (MR) detector (26) detects electromagnetic radiation from the measuring object by using NMR signals. A power supply device supplies power to the MR detector. A radiation source (30) supplies radiation energy to the MR detector. An assigned energy converter unit converts the radiation energy into electrical operation energy. An energy storage portion stores the electrical operation energy. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a MR equipment.
