Open type dome device e.g. rectangular shaped open type dome device, for use in roof of building, has dome connected with dome frame, laths resting at two gaskets of dome frame such that air spaces are arranged between gaskets
The device has a frame (10) built into a roof of a building, and a curb (12) provided for sealing overlay of a dome frame (22). A dome (20) is connected with the dome frame. An edge of the dome is mounted among an abutment surface of the dome frame and two pairs laths, which are mounted at the dome frame. The laths rest at two gaskets of the dome frame such that air spaces are arranged between the gaskets. One of the gaskets comprises seal elements that are connected at corners of the dome frame. The dome frame and the lathes are made of a plastic material i.e. hard PVC. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an open type dome device.
