The device comprises a scale which is attached to a container (6). A display element (5) is moved on the scale, where a material strip (1) is provided for the device. The material strip is divided in two strips (2,3) in its length, where one strip has the scale that is formed by multiple sections. A note of changing volume, is attached to each section, where the display element is moved on the other strip in form of a pusher.
