Accurate determination facilitating method for absolute phase position of track, involves correcting errors in coarse position value of item by adding fixed value to corrected coarse position value of item
The method involves determining two periodical values (PHI1, PHI2) from input values (C1, C2, S1, S2). A coarse position value (P1) of item is determined from the input values and a unique computed correction matrix (KMC). A correction value (K) for the periodical values is determined. Errors in another coarse position value (P2) of item are corrected by adding a fixed value to a corrected coarse position value (P1K) of item. A value of the correction matrix is adjusted based on a mistake vector. An independent claim is also included for a device for facilitating accurate determination of an absolute position of an angle measuring system.
