Timing wheel set for use in duration limiter mechanism of secondary strike release mechanism of instantaneous release type grand strike mechanism in e.g. wristwatch, has timing wheel engaging with release wheel in direct/indirect manner
The wheel set (130) has a timing hook operated by a coupling mechanism for engaging with or disengaging from a ratchet (133). The ratchet is pivotably mounted on an axis coaxially with a timing wheel (132). The ratchet is returned by pivoting toward the wheel by an elastic return unit (135) i.e. spiral spring. The wheel engages with a release wheel in a direct/indirect manner. The ratchet comprises a stop unit (136) i.e. pin, that engages with a complementary stop unit (137) i.e. radial retaining pin, integrated with the wheel, in a disarming position of the wheel set. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a duration limiter mechanism (2) a secondary strike release mechanism (3) a repeater striking mechanism (4) a timepiece.
