The device has a funnel pipe (4) projecting downwardly into an oil well (2), and a funnel cone that is downwardly opened. The pipe is provided with a screw thread (6) in a self cutting and self embedding manner such that the funnel pipe is screwed into the oil well from a point up to a bottom section of the funnel cone. A clamp for clamping a funnel lid (19) or a plug (23) is provided on an upper edge of the funnel cone, where the opened side of the funnel cone is closed or properly sealed by the funnel lid after the screwing of the pipe is completed. The funnel lid comprises an opening. An independent claim is also included for a method for improving and strengthening screwing of a funnel pipe in an oil well.
