PURPOSE: A surge protection device having an overheat protection function based on a surge suppression element is provided to prevent power outage or a fire accident since an overvoltage and a leakage current are blocked by using a surge suppression device and an overheating prevention device.;CONSTITUTION: A contact point is arranged in a bimetal in a bimetal moving part(300). A fixing part(301) is arranged in one side of a MOV(Metal Oxide Varistor)(200). An insulating plate(302) is flexibly installed to be inserted between the moving part and the fixing part when the moving part and the fixing part, which are parallely connected to the MOV, are off. The bimetal moving part is connected to a third terminal(309) projected downwardly. The fixing part is connected to a second terminal of the MOV via a partition wall.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
