PURPOSE: An inner defect evaluation index determining method for a continuous casting process and an inner defect analyzing method using the same are provided to easily recognize the failure state of a product by analyzing an elongation failure of a steel material using selected evaluation indexes.;CONSTITUTION: An inner defect evaluation index determining method for a continuous casting process comprises the steps of: taking an image including pore and crack images at a certain position of the steel material(S2), calculating the fraction of the pore and crack images in the whole image(S4), repetitively calculating fractions in a plurality of positions of the steel material(S6), calculating the average fraction, measuring the elongation ratio of the steel material, and displaying correlation from the calculated average fraction and elongation ratio of the pore and crack images.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013;[Reference numerals] (S2) Taking an image with 50x magnifications; (S4) Measuring and calculating the fractions of pores and cracks; (S6) Implementing the photographing and measuring steps in 50 positions; (S8) Calculating the average fraction of pores and cracks, setting as a representative pore/crack index
