摘要

PURPOSE: A method for producing ethanol from xylose is provided to improve ethanol yield and productivity. CONSTITUTION: A method for producing ethanol comprises: a step of transforming Saccharomyces cerevisiae to obtain recombinant Saccharomyces cerevisiae which expresses xylose reductase(XR) and xylitol dehydrogenase(XDH) and overexpresses xylulokinase(XK); and a step of producing ethanol from xylose. A Tor signal transduction pathway-associated gene is knocked out in the recombinant Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The gene includes PPH21, PPH22, PPH3, PPM1, TOR1, TPD3 or MAF1 gene.
