PURPOSE: A lie detector based on contents and a method thereof are provided to efficiently produce cognitive load by actively inducing a recognition response from a person to be tested.;CONSTITUTION: A cognitive load providing unit(310) provides test contents, which are composed of images, computer graphics, and virtual reality, to a person to be tested. A response detection unit(320) recognizes psychological emotion using emotion recognition. A determination response extracting unit(330) extracts a cognitive load response which plays a significant role for determining the existence and nonexistence of a lie. A control unit(340) receives cognitive load response components extracted from the determination response extracting unit. The control unit collects determination response components enough to determine the existence and nonexistence of the lie.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
