PURPOSE: A color temperature tuning method of a digital display device and an apparatus thereof are provided to improve image quality by reducing color temperature deviation and color sensitivity differences between gradations.;CONSTITUTION: A host computer establishes green gamma(S22). The host computer tunes blue gamma(S24). The host computer determines a satisfactory state of a first color temperature range by color temperature for each gradation of a liquid crystal device(S26). The host computer tunes red gamma(S28). The host computer determines a satisfactory state of the first color temperature range by a difference between a Y stimulus function f(Y) value and an X stimulus function f(X) value. The host computer determines a satisfactory state of a second color temperature range by a difference between the Y stimulus function f(Y) value and a Z stimulus function f(Z) value.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
