PURPOSE: A method for collecting valuable resources from resid fluidized catalytic cracking(RFCC) catalyst based on a mechano-chemistry technique is provided to collect silicon dioxide, aluminum oxide, and lanthanum oxide. CONSTITUTION: Waste RFCC catalysts generated from a heavy oil upgrading process are dried in a rotary furnace. Air or oxygen is introduced into the rotary furnace and is heated to a temperature between 550 and 1,200 degrees Celsius to oxidize nickel and vanadium and to combust carbon to be eliminated. The plasticized waste RFCC is pulverized or mixing-pulverized using a leachate reagent to obtain powder. The powder is leached using acid or alkali. The resultant product is filtered/dried to obtain silicon dioxide and aluminum oxide. Settled sludge is separated to obtain lanthanum oxide.
