PURPOSE: A virtualization and duplication system for obtaining stability of an ECU(Electronic Control Unit) of a vehicle and a method for obtaining stability are provided to minimize size of products without additional hardware, and to reduce costs by maintaining stable operation of an ECU.;CONSTITUTION: A virtualization and duplication system for obtaining stability of an ECU of a vehicle comprises main and sub virtual machines(130,140) and a VMM(Virtual Machine Monitor)(120). The main virtual machine is generated on a virtual layer to electronically control a vehicle. The sub virtual machine is same as the main virtual machine generated on the virtual layer. The VMM provides the virtual layer. If the main virtual machine having hardware input/output control authority is abnormally operated, the VMM authorizes the hardware input/output control authority to the sub virtual machine.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
