PURPOSE: An in-plane switching mode liquid crystal display device and a method for manufacturing a color filter substrate for an in-plane switching mode liquid crystal display device are provided to form a patterned spacer together with an overcoat layer using a mold, thereby reducing the number of mask processes.;CONSTITUTION: An overcoat layer(125) is hardened by UV irradiation. If a mold(200) is detached from the overcoat layer, a patterned spacer(130) is formed in a part corresponding to an intaglio pattern of the mold. The patterned spacer has a first height which is the same as a first depth of the intaglio pattern. A recessed portion(133b) is formed on the patterned spacer.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
