PURPOSE: High intensity and high toughness bainitic steel is provided to have fatigue performance as 15% or more higher than existing medium carbon non coarse-grained steel, and to manufacture a crack shaft satisfying high performance, high power and high efficiency engine.;CONSTITUTION: High intensity and high toughness bainitic steel comprises 0.19~0.25 weight% of C, 0.70~0.90 weight% of Si, 1.20~1.40 weight% of Mn, 1.20~1.40 weight% of Cr, 0.12~0.22 weight% of V, 0.010~0.050 weight% of Ti, 0.0010~0.0050 weight% of B, 0.08~0.20 weight% of Mo, and residual Fe and unavoidable impurities. The high intensity and high toughness bainitic steel additionally comprises 0.040-0.100 weight% of S as a mechinability improving element. . The high intensity and high toughness bainitic steel satisfies equation: tensile strength(MPa) =358 + (688×C(wt%)) + (81×Si(wt%)) + (196×Mn(wt%)) + (202×Cr(wt%)) + (80×Mo(wt%)) + (400×V(wt%)) =1,076-1,265.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
