PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of silicon particle coated multi-walled carbon nano tube for manufacturing composite material is provided to minimize cohesion by diffusing the silicon particles on a stable surface of the carbon nano tube and manufacture composite material using a squeeze infiltration by improving wettability.;CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of silicon particle coated multi-walled carbon nano tube for manufacturing composite material comprises the following steps: acid treating multi-walled carbon nano tube(S101); washing(S103) and drying(S105) the acid treated material; mixing the washed and dried material with silicon powder(S107); compressing the mixed material with a hot press(S109); pulverizing the compressed material with a ball mill(S111); and completing silicon particle coated multi-walled carbon nano tube(S113). The acid treatment uses hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid in 3:1 ratio and the process lasts for 2 hours. The drying procedure is processed at room temperature for a day and at a high temperature for another day. The compressing procedure is processed at 1300deg.C for 8 hours.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
