PURPOSE: A metal oxide nano-rod selective growing method based on an aqueous solution and an electrochemical method are provided to selectively grow metal oxide nano-rids at a desired position by combining a hydrolysis method and an electrochemical method.;CONSTITUTION: A metal oxide nano-rod selective growing method includes the following: a metal oxide seed solution is coated on a substrate(110) which is pattered with electrodes(115); a growing solution is applied on the substrate is heated, and a voltage is applied to the electrodes; and metal oxide nano-rods(150) are selectively grown on the electrodes. The growing solution includes metal ions instead of hydroxyl ions. The metal oxide seed solution is a solution which is obtained by dissolving zinc acetate dehydrate in alcohol and is a hydrochloric acid zinc solution or a zinc nitrate solution. The voltage is in a range between -1.4V and -0.2V.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
