PURPOSE: A device for monitoring performance of a lane departure warning system is provided to stop the operation of a lane departure warning system in the region where the lane is removed, thereby preventing a false alarm.;CONSTITUTION: A device for monitoring performance of lane departure warning system comprises a calculation part, and a monitoring part. A calculation part calculates a lane recognition rate by receiving video frame information and lane recognition success frame information. The video frame is processed in the lane departure warning system for specific time. The calculation part divides the number of the lane recognition success frame by the number of the processed video frame. The monitoring part compares the calculated lane recognition rate and the standard recognition rate. The monitoring part decides whether to operate the device for monitoring performance of lane departure warning system, according to the comparison result. When the calculated lane recognition rate is lower than the standard recognition rate, the monitoring part stop the operation of the device for monitoring performance of lane departure warning system.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
