The present invention relates to a method of extracting a Close-3POI and an application method for a location retrieval service in a Web GIS using the same, comprising: (a) receiving a POI point object from a POI table of a server using three POI names; (b) performing a transformation into a rectangular object for every point object pair a (#POIA) and b (#POIB); (c) generating an R * -tree to perform a spatial join operation on the rectangular objects created in step (b); (d) performing a spatial join operation to obtain a point object pair of POIA and POIB existing within a distance d from each other; (e) terminating the first operation if the first operation termination condition is satisfied; otherwise, repeating the first operation until the first operation termination condition is satisfied by increasing or decreasing the search distance d; (f) converting the point object pairs (a, b) and all c (#POIC) stored in all i (#InitialOutput) into rectangular objects; (g) generating an R * -tree to perform a spatial join operation on the rectangular objects created in step (f); (h) performing a spatial join operation to find (a, b, c) within a distance d; (i) terminating the second operation if the second operation termination condition is satisfied; otherwise, repeating the operation from the first operation until the second operation termination condition is satisfied by increasing or decreasing the search distance d, and (j Storing the identifiers and coordinate information of the adjacent POI 3-tuple set as a result of performing the first and second operations, thereby sub-locating the positions of the plurality of POI 3-tuples adjacent to each other.
