PURPOSE: A method for preventing cracks on a slab in a continuous casting process and a continuous casting system using the same are provided to improve the internal quality of a slab by reducing the horizontal cracks of the slab in a continuous casting process.;CONSTITUTION: A method for preventing cracks on a slab in a continuous casting process is as follows. A submerged nozzle discharges molten steel to the outside(S1). The discharged molten steel is moved through a roller and is cooled by sprayed cooling water(S3). The final coagulation completion point of the molten steel is calculated(S5). The rolling force of a drive roll of a segment is reduced based on the calculated final coagulation completion point of the molten steel(S7).;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
