The invention relates to a method for reducing the friction among pads in a disc brake comprising a brake disc (21) and pads (24) mounted in a calliper such that each lies opposite a braking surface (23) of the brake disc, said method comprising the step of generating jets of pressurised air (21) from the brake disc (21) toward the pads (24), the jets of pressurised air (41) being generated by a pressurised-air generator outside the disc brake. To implement said method, a braking device is provided, said braking device including a disc brake having a disc provided with ejection channels (30) connected to an air generator (32) via an accumulator (39) and a controlled valve (40).
