A generation, issuing method and device of a simple type map based on traffic information are disclosed, which relate to the field of traffic information. The method comprises: acquiring storage path information of a transportation base map and storage path information of road dynamic traffic information; reading the transportation base map according to the storage path information of the transportation base map; reading the road dynamic traffic information according to the storage path information of the road dynamic traffic information corresponding to the transportation base map; describing the read dynamic traffic information of the road on the transportation base map to get a navigation map which is suitable for issuing and storing the navigation map which is suitable for issuing in an appointed catalog; when a user requests a navigation map, sending the corresponding navigation map to the corresponding client. With the above solution, the display with continuity and integrity of road traffic information on the transportation base map can be realized and trips of user can be guided in all aspects.
