Molecular diffusion device (20) for determining the molecular diffusion coefficient of liquid mixtures at constant temperature and atmospheric pressure, and a method of obtaining said coefficient. The device (20) comprises a first tube (4a), which contains a first mixture, threaded to a first plate (6), a second tube (4b), which contains a second mixture, threaded to a second plate (8), and a mooring plate (5) that exerts a tightening between both plates (6, 8), arranged fixed to the second plate (8) and that guides the displacement of the first plate (6) with respect to the second plate (8 ) the second plate (8) being fixed, between a first position in which the first tube (4a) and the second tube (4b) are arranged separately, and a second position in which the first tube (4a) and the second tube (4b) are arranged facing each other.
