A process for the preparation of double potasium-manganese (III) tripyrophosphate in solid polycrystalline state of general formula of KMn(PO)comprises the use of melt of mechanical mixture of polycrystalline substances. The mechanical mixture of KPOand MnO is ground in agate mortar, poured to the platinum crucible (porcelain crucible) of 100 ml volume and homogenized for 1-2 hours at temperature of 650 °C. The prepared melt is saturated sodium nitrate surplus is added in ratio of {system: KNO} 1:5 of weight fraction (10 g of system melt to 50 g of LiNO) and homogenized for 1 hour, hold at temperature of 650 °C for 24 hours and the produced brown phases are washed, dried at room temperature.
