A radio-isotope device for customs supervision has a body with source of ionizing radiation (SIR) mounted there, this is placed in protective shell with collimator and equipped with protective screen, detection block, elements of electric circuits, display. The shell and the protective screen are made of material with high density. The body of the device is equipped with rotary cover to which protective screen is built-in, this is its integral part and in initial position of the cover it closes radiation of the SIR through collimator to outside. Turn of the cover is not less than 180 degrees.
