A method for detection and identification of non-linear diffusers as random generators of chaotic oscillations includes emission of sounding signal in direction to non-linear diffuser, reception and registration of response signal. As response signal one uses chaotic signal of secondary electromagnetic field, with identification of the type of non-linearity by the level of chaotic character of signal. That for one additionally registers in receiver probability of correlation dependence of the level of chaotic character of response signal on level of power of sounding signal.
