A method for diagnosing the functional state of the genome of peripheral blood lymphocytes in the patients with chronic glomerulonephritis at the various stages of the chronic diseases of kidneys comprises the cytological examination of blood cells with analysis of their nuclear structured. The cytogenetic analysis of the lymphocytes provides the data on chromatization index (relation of number of nuclei with superiority of euchromatin to that with superiority of heterochromatin) and the morphological alteration of nuclei.
