摘要
The invention relates to a process lowering the carbon anode consumption in the process for producing aluminium, by the alumina electrolysis in cryolite melt, using the blowing of a carbon oxide reducing gas into the melt, which accelerates the oxygen release from the active surface of the anodes, better homogenizes the melt and reduces the corroding of all components immersed or non-immersed in the electrolysis bath. The process claimed by the invention consists in passing the alumina from the alumina bin (1) through a dry purification system (6) towards the gas treating station (5), wherefrom the alumina is taken over , dosed by means of some pneumatic feeding devices and introduced into the electrolysis cell where it is melted by means of the carbon anodes (2) provided with some longitudinal channels through which a reducing gas with the concentration of 70...100% CO, and the flow rate of 1.00...1.50 Nm/ produced metal aluminium ton and a pressure of 1.1...1.2 barr is blown into the melt, the electrolysis cell is supplied with electric energy produced by a rectifier power station (4) and the gases discharged from the electrolysis cell are sucked from the gas treating station (5) with a compressor (8) and passed through a global purification system (7) wherefrom they are sent to a gas separator (9), where there takes place the separation of CO from CO, CO being subsequently reheated in a heat exchanger (10) and reintroduced into the process and COis sent into the burnt gases collector (11).
