PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct the tip position of each terminal in a group of metallic columnar terminals provided in a line on an insulating base accurately to their reference positions.;SOLUTION: Assuming a row direction is an X direction and the direction perpendicular to the X direction is a Y direction, this method clamps the reference tip position of respective terminals, pushes it from one side to the other side along the Y direction, and pushes it back from the other side to the one side. This reciprocal operation as a unit is implemented several times. At least the first reciprocal operation moves each terminal by a width of movement exceeding the elastic limit of the terminal. Each of the succeeding reciprocal operations moves each terminal by a smaller width of movement than that of the preceding reciprocal operation. Operations similar to the reciprocal operations in the Y direction are implemented also in the X direction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
