PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical beacon on-vehicle communication device which can be properly operated even when optical beacons of VICS and those of DSSS are mixed and installed on a road.;SOLUTION: An optical beacon function part 1 determines whether an optical beacon having transmitted DL data is of VICS or not by referring to ID information for DSSS contained in the DL data, thereby proper operation corresponding to the result of the determination is allowed. To be more precise, when determining that an optical beacon having transmitted DL data is of VICS, the optical beacon function part 1 carries out reset processing which resets the timer value of a link travel time, and thus a proper link travel time can be measured.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
