A control means (20) arranges virtual atoms in a crystal structure set in a virtual 3-D space, and stores the coordinate of each atom in an atom configuration list storage section (220). The control means (20) specifies an out-of-border virtual atom to be eliminated from the atom configuration list storage section (220) based on a mirror index acquired from a mirror index setting section (211) and boundary conditions dependent on the cutting position of a cut section face acquired from a cutting position setting section (212). The control means (20) counts the number of bonds of each virtual atom located on the surface of a probe after cutting, specifies an unstable virtual atom based on the number of bonds and alters display of the unstable virtual atom.
