PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a merchandise advertisement distribution device for distributing advertisements while being interlocked with current events concerning the distribution of recommended merchandise advertisements displayed with Web shopping content.;SOLUTION: This merchandise advertisement distribution device is connected to a news content distribution device, and configured to distribute merchandise advertisements according to Web shopping content, and provided with a merchandise category classification database in which merchandise categories and relevant words are registered so as to be associated with each other; an acquisition means for acquiring news content from a news content distribution device; a feature word extraction means for extracting feature words from text information included in the news content; a merchandise category decision means for deciding the merchandise category into which the news content is classified on the basis of the extracted feature words and relevant words registered in the category classification database; and a retrieval means for retrieving merchandise information from a merchandise information database on the basis of the feature words extracted from the news content whose decided merchandise category is matched with the merchandise category of the Web shopping content.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
