PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper storage place guide device and paper storage place guide program, which enable a user to easily find which of paper storage places can store paper with a required attribute.SOLUTION: For each of paper trays for storing sheet of paper supplied to an image forming units, an MFP with the function of the paper storage place guide device recognizes the attribute of paper which the trays can handle (S101), and receives an input of the attribute of paper required to be stored by a user (S102). Among paper trays to be recognized, the MFP 20 determines the one conforming to the input attribute of the paper (S103 and S104), and informs a user of the determination result (S105 and S106).
